Rayne - Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, August 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. for Linda Faye Meche Menard, 64, who died Friday, August 13, 2010 at 7:10 p.m. in Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital in Lafayette, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Basil Cemetery, Duson, LA.

Surviving are her husband, Wilbur Menard, of Lafayette, one daughter, Amy Menard of Lafayette, one sister, Charlotte Meche Seaux and husband Raymond of Maurice, two brothers, Louis Meche and wife Ruth Langley Meche and Ricky Meche and wife Debbie Hidalgo both of Rayne, one brother-in-law, Dominic "Bee" Menard and wife Doris Matte Menard of Duson, Numerous nieces and nephews, three great nephews, one great niece.

She was preceded in death by parents, Marvin Meche and Eva Rena Richard Meche.

She was born Tuesday, October 9, 1945 in Rayne, LA, daughter of the late Marvin Meche and the late Eva Rena Richard Meche.

Mrs. Linda was a parishoner of St. Alphonus Catholic Church in Maurice for the past 34 years. She worked as a Hairstyles for 43 years and also a Seamstress and was a devoted and dedicated wife and mother.

A rosary will be recited Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home.

Friends will be received  at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. Sunday, August 15, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday, August 16, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until service.
