Locals tabbed to All-Academic Composite team

CROWLEY – Acadia Parish is well repesented on the Lousiana High School Athletic Association’s Baseball All-Academic Composite team that is sponsored by Exxon Mobil.

Five local players were named to the squad including Notre Dame’s Ross Holston, Northside Christian’s Pierce Rivera, Iota’s Mitchell Orcino and Rayne’s Scott Curtis and Austin Meche.

Each student posted a 4.0000 grade point average.

The All-Academic Class/Division team is composed of all senior student-athletes from their schools’ class/division who have a grade point average of 3.5000 or above. Only the highest GPA’s from each class/division composes the Composite team in each sport.

Rayne’s Aaron Chiasson was named to the Class AAA team with a 3.9047 GPA while Iota’s Ethan Navarre made the Class AA team with a 3.6905 GPA.
