Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Plaisance of Youngsville are announcing the birth of their first child, a son, Logan Michael Plaisance, born at 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette.

At birth, he weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces, and measured 20 inches in length.

Mrs. Plaisance is the former Heather Elizabeth Credeur, daughter of Kernis and Carol Credeur of Rayne, maternal grandparents.

Paternal grandparents are Donna Zeringe of Milton and Terry Plaisance of Westwego.

Great-grandparents are the late Alvin and Esther Henry of Crowley, the late Elta and Louis (Ben) Credeur of Rayne, the late Elsie and Clairborne Zeringe of Marrero, and the late Eola and Nolan Plaisance of Westwego.

Godparents are Scott Credeur of Baton Rouge and Christine Zeringe of Westwego.
