Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. for Loretta Schexnayder Leger, 71, who died Saturday, October 6, 2012, in Camelot Place, in Crowley.

Interment was in the Assumption of the BVM Cemetery, Mire.

Surviving are her husband, Wilbur Leger of Rayne; one son, Donnie Leger of Baton Rouge; one daughter, Michelle Leger Duplantis and husband, Shannon, of Mire; and three grandchildren, Tri Leger Defreitas, Trace Duplantis, and Toye Duplantis.

She was preceded in death by parents, Gladu Schexnayder and Hazel Guidry Schexnayder; and one brother, Kermit Schexnayder.

She was born Monday, August 25, 1941, in Church Point, daughter of the late Gladu Schexnayder and the late Hazel Guidry Schexnayder.

A rosary was recited Monday, October 8, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Monday, October 8, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m..
