Funeral services will be held at St. Leo IV Catholic Church, Thursday, February 14, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. for Louis Joseph Privat, 81, who died Monday, February 11, 2013, in Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Interment will be in the St. Leo IV Cemetery, Roberts Cove.

Surviving are three brothers, Edward Privat and wife, Mary Ann, of Lafayette, Thomas Privat of Lafayette, and Daniel Privat and wife, Charlotte; one sister, Anna Marie Privat Burch and husband, Jim, of Rayne.

He was preceded in death by parents, Roland Privat and Anna Marie Heinen Privat; and one brother, Roland F. Privat.

He was born Sunday, January 3, 1932, in Rayne, son of the late Roland Privat and the late Anna Marie Heinen Privat.

Mr. Privat was a teacher at Rayne Catholic School for 15 years, Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree Knight, served 2 year term on St. Joseph Parish Council, Diocesion Council for 9 years, and former Head of St. Joseph Religois Education (CCD).

A rosary was recited Wednesday, February 13, 2013. at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, February 14, 2013 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
