Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 04, 2012 from 3:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
Mrs. Veronie passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 1:17 P.M. in a Lafayette hospital.
A native and lifelong resident of Rayne, Mrs. Veronie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Her greatest joy in life was being with and caring for her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Richard and husband, Larry, Sr. of Rayne, Diane Allemand and husband, R.J. in Rayne, and Pam Douget and husband, Shane of Scott; son, Paul Veronie and wife, Renee of Scott; brother, Atlas Stutes and wife, Eva Dale of Rayne; grandchildren, Heather Richard, Larry Richard, Jr., Lisa Veronie, Dayna Forestier, and Danielle Forestier; and great-grandchildren, Blaze, Payge, Raquel, and Keegan.
Preceding Mrs. Veronie in death were her husband, John Veronie; parents, Oday and Ella Richard Norman; brother, Remy Norman; and sister, Marie Stutes Seaux.
Serving as pallbearers are Paul Veronie, Larry Richard, Sr., Larry Richard, Jr., David Guidry, Ricky Arceneaux, and Kaanan Douget.
