MORGAN CITY -- A man already jailed at the Morgan City Police Department was arrested on child pornography charges after officers located suspected child pornography on his cellular telephone, according to Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco.

Terry Polk, 39, of Willow Street, Morgan City, who was arrested Monday night on drug charges, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at police headquarters for two counts of possession of child pornography.

During a search of Polk’s residence Monday night, officers found suspected marijuana and a notebook with lists of sites for child pornography, the report stated.

Upon reviewing his telephone, investigators located more than 1,200 images that he had downloaded from the Internet, the report stated. He remains jailed with a $100,000 bail.
