According to police, a truck driven by Chad Bourque, 39, of Breaux Bridge crossed the center line Sunday.
Bourque was killed and Lionel Boyer, Sr. and his wife Verna of Nina, hospitalized with moderate injuries.
Bourque was headed west on Bridge Street, crossed the center line and hit an eastbound car occupied by the Boyers.
The head-on collision happened on the west end of the bridge, near the tourism center.
Boyer and his wife were transported to a Lafayette hospital.
