According to police, Zachary Fitzgerald, 34, Highway 167 North, Turkey Creek was charged with leaving a child unattended in a motor vehicle.
A concerned shopper walking in the parking lot noticed the child in the vehicle and contacted police.
Responding officers saw the child in the car and began searching for the owner.
Employees at the store were able to page Fitzgerald to the front of the store, where he was arrested.
The outside temperature was above 90 degrees at the time.
