A man who escaped trial for attempted feticide when his victim consented to the charge being dropped has again been arrested on domestic abuse battery charges.

Available records did not indicate whether the alleged victim was the same woman as in the earlier case.

Kenneth Myers of 1445 Yukon was arrested just before midnight Thursday.

In September 2009 he was charged with attempted feticide and three other offenses when he allegedly tried to kill the unborn child being carried by his estranged wife to avoid paying child support.

He was scheduled for trial in January 2011 but pleaded guilty to misdemeanor domestic abuse battery after the mother agreed to the felony charge being dropped.

The state also dropped simple criminal damage to property and false imprisonment charges against Myers, who was fined $300 and or 10 days and placed on probation.

Myers is also on probation from a city case.

On Sept. 20, 2010, he was found guilty in Eunice City Court of two counts of simple battery. He was sentenced to six months in jail, with all but 90 days suspended, and two years probation.

How his arrest on April 21 impacts his probation status in either the parish or city case was not immediately known.

On Sept. 20, 2010, while the parish case was still pending and a day before his City Court sentencing, Myers was arrested again, on charges on domestic abuse battery, simple battery and disturbing the peace.

How can an unborn child not be "so called innocent"???? That child was a victim also!! And so many numerous charges of abuse against the wife - there's no way ALL of them are lies!! Let the punk do his time and quit being bailed out!!!

It's funny how there is two sides to every story but only one is broadcasted for the world to see. Tell me how is it that a couple gets into a heated arguement, one presses charges and then the next day wants them to be dropped??? Believe me the so called "victim" is not so innocent!!!
