Baggett has led the Cowgirls to a 3-2 record with victories over Texas Southern, Houston and Talladega College. She has averaged 31.4 minutes, 18.8 points and 5.4 assists per game so far this season.
Caitlyn has scored in double figures in all five games and has led the team in scoring in four of the five. She is the team’s leading scorer and assist leader after the Cowgirls’ first five games of the season.
Baggett had a career night against Houston by scoring a career high 31 points, made nine field goals and was 11-of-13 from the free throw line with four rebounds and seven assists.
Baggett has led the Cowgirls in assists in all five games and moved into second place as McNeese’s all-time career assists leader and ninth all-time scorer against Talladega College. She was credited with a career high three blocks against Southern Miss.
Plaisance has started all five games for LSU and leads the Lady Tigers in scoring (15.8) and rebounding (9.0). She has been the leader in rebounding in four of LSU’s five games this season.
Plaisance scored 20 points and blocked a career-high seven shots to help lead the Lady Tigers to a 76-69 victory over Florida International Sunday in the FIU Thanksgiving Classic championship game.
Plaisance was named the tournament MVP as she combined for 33 points in two games. He seven blocked shots on Sunday tied for the fourth-most in school history and the most since Taylor Turnbow swatted seven on Nov. 26, 2008 against Xavier.
