Montez “Tez” Tassin Guidry, 85, a resident of Fairhope, Alabama since 1994 and formerly of Crowley, Rayne and Baton Rouge passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2010, after a brief illness.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Adams (Bill) of Slidell and Cyndie Wilkins (Dan) of Daphne, Alabama; four grandchildren, Marty Adams (Aimee) of Hammond, Clay Adams of Baton Rouge, Catherine Wilkins Reynolds (Jon) of Huntsville, Alabama and Matt Wilkins of Dapne, Alabama; two great-grandchildren, Therese and Stamm Adams of Hammond; a nephew, Larry Harmse (DeeDee) of Fairhope; and a niece, Gael Harmse Weber( Jeff ) of Porterville, Calfornia.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, J. Stamm Guidry.

A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (formerly SLI) in Home Economics, she was the owner of Kiddies Korner Kindergarten in Rayne for 25 years. After moving to Baton Rouge in 1975, she modeled for D. H. Holmes Department Store. She was very active in her church in Fairhope.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 370 Section Street, Fairhope, Alabama 36532, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010.

In lieu of flowers, Masses or donations to St. Lawrence Catholic Church Children’s Faith Formation Fund would be appreciated.
