Mrs. Justin Keith LeJeune
The bride, a 2009 graduate of Northside Christian School, is the daughter Dana and Tammye Morgan of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Ervin and Ida Murphy, and Joseph (Bubba) and Lorraine Morgan, all of Crowley.
The groom is the son of Tracey Benoit of Basile and Stephen LeJeune of Iota. He is the grandson of Leo and Gertie Benoit of Basile, and Lester and Mae LeJeune of Mermentau.
Justin graduated from Iota High School in 2002 and is currently employed as an electrician.
The ceremony room was decorated with gold and plum pomanders on every chair and at the end of each aisle. A brick mantle piece in the front of the room was flanked by a large arrangement of lighted branches, plum and ivory peonies and gold accents on one side and a unity candle on the other.
Guests were ushered to their seats by Zackary Morgan and Tyler Comeaux, cousins of the bride.
Escorted by her father, Holley was gorgeous in a full-length slim-line gown with a V-neckline and empire waist. The gown’s intricate lace overlay was embellished with Swarovski crystals, and rich decorative beading adorned the waist. The back of the gown featured a beautiful high Mandarin keyhole and a fashionable button over zipper closing. The skirt flowed into a fishtail train finished with scalloped edging.
The bride carried a large hand-held bouquet of plum roses accented with rhinestones and gold glitter and hand-tied with gold ribbon.
To ensure a happy marriage, Holley incorporated the traditional good-luck items. Two wedding bands from her great-great-grandmother were “something old,” and her wedding dress was “something new.” Holley’s veil, loaned to her by her sister Hayley, was “something borrowed.” The date of the wedding stitched in blue in the lining of Holley’s gown was “something blue.”
Kami Linscombe, the bride’s best friend, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Hayley Guidry and Hillary Kibodeaux, sisters of the bride; and Jenna Trahan, Jordan LeJeune and Jade LeJeune, sisters of the groom.
The bridesmaids wore long strapless plum satin gowns featuring ruched bodices. The elegant dresses were completed with pearl earrings and necklaces.
The bridal attendants carried bouquets of yellow roses accented with rhinestones and tied with plum ribbon.
Abi LeJeune, niece of the groom, served as junior bridesmaid. She wore a knee-length ivory taffeta dress with an asymmetrical bodice and full skirt. Rosette accents graced one shoulder and the waist line. Abi carried a plum rose pomander accented with gold glitter and ribbon.
Nylah Grayce Morgan, daughter of the bride, served as flower girl. She was escorted by usher Zackary Morgan, who is also her parrain. Nylah looked perfect in her rosette-adorned dress matching that of the junior bridesmaid. She carried a plum satin basket filled with yellow roses.
On behalf of Nylah, the bride read the groom a special letter:
I know that I’m not perfect, and I’m sure you know that too. But it means the world to know, that I can always talk to you. I am sure you didn’t expect all this when you took me in to stay . . . but you still loved me enough, that you did it anyway. You always seemed so calm, when deep down you were so scared, and no matter how serious it was, you always seemed prepared. I know I’m lucky to have you here, after all that I’ve been through, and no matter what happens, I can always say I love you, you always can forgive me, even when times get bad, and I’ll love you until the day I die, because you are my miracle dad.
The groom was clad in a black tuxedo with a notch lapel one-button jacket, ivory shirt, Synergy ivory vest and Windsor knot tie. He wore a plum rose boutonniere accented with rhinestones and gold ribbon, and was escorted by his and the bride’s son, Layne LeJeune.
Josh LeJeune, cousin of the groom, served as best man. C.J. (Moon) Guidry, brother-in-law of the bride; Joe LeJeune and Reagan Redlich, friends of the groom; Brian Trahan, brother-in-law of the groom; and Jacob LeJeune, brother of the groom, stood as groomsmen.
The groomsmen wore tuxedos matching the groom’s with plum vests. Along with the ushers, they wore yellow rose boutonnieres accented with rhinestones and plum ribbon.
Hayden Trahan, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearer. He wore a boutonniere matching the groom’s.
For Holley’s wedding, her mother, the former Tammye Murphy, selected a mock two-piece dress in sapphire blue. The bodice featured a flattering portrait collar and slimming side-ruching with a jeweled pin and brooch detail at the waist. A dress’s long, flowing skirt completed its elegant look.
The mother of the groom, the former Tracey Benoit, wore a burgundy and gold floral print shell and black slacks topped with a burgundy cardigan sweater.
Both mothers, along with the couple’s grandmothers, wore wristlets of yellow roses accented with rhinestones and gold glitter and tied with plum ribbon.
Following the ceremony, a reception for the newlywed couple was held on-site at The Crossing.
The venue’s beautiful rustic interior needed little decoration. The entrance table featured an antique window pane inscribed with the bride and groom’s wedding date. A photo of the bride and groom graced the sign-in table.
Half of the guest tables were decorated with tall arrangements of lit crystal branches and plum peony flowers on mirrored bases. The remainder of the tables were decorated with three sizes of ivory candles wrapped with three strands of crystals and set on mirrors.
The bride dedicated a special song, “I Won’t Let Go” by Rascal Flatts, to her daughter Nylah, and the two danced together in harmony.
Holly’s wedding cake was made of four tiers, each with its own individual flavor, including almond, pistachio, German chocolate and cheesecake. It was decorated with buttercream icing and fondant, and it featured fillings of chocolate butter cream, German chocolate pecan and buttercream. The confection was elegantly adorned with bands of rhinestones and dozens of yellow roses and was topped with a large rhinestone “L.” A separate “anniversary cake” was frozen for the bride and groom.
Almost too perfect to eat, the groom’s cake completely replicated an LSU football uniform, including jersey, shoulder pads, helmet, pants and football. It was displayed along with a picture of the bride and groom in their LSU jerseys and a picture of the bride in her wedding gown and LSU rubber boots.
Out-of-town guests traveled from Texas and various points throughout Louisiana.
On the evening prior to the wedding the grooms father and step-mother, Stephen and Gail LeJeune, hosted a rehearsal dinner at their home in Iota. Guests were served barbecued pork chops, ribs and boudin, potato salad, rice dressing, baked beans, hot dogs and garlic bread.
Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple is residing in Branch.
