To the citizens of Rayne:

It”s hard to believe a year has already passed.Time flys when you’re having fun. Being chosen to represent the city of Rayne was a huge honor. As my reign comes to an end, I look back with so many fond memories of my year as Ms. Ray*La*Ne. Traveling to fairs and festivals, meeting new people, and having fun with all of the Queens from our beautiful state were among the highlights of my year. And it could not have been done without the help of many people.

I would like to thank our mayor, Jim Petitjean, for all his support in everything he does for our wonderful city, as well as for Festival Ray*La*ne. Good luck to you in all your future endeavor’s. There are no words to describe what an important part you play in making Rayne a place we are all proud to call home. God bless to you and your family.

I’d also like to thank Cheryl Richard for all the hard work she does. We could not do a lot of those things without your help. Many thanks. I also want to wish you good luck in all of your future plans. Your hard work and charm will bring you far I’m sure. You mean so much to so many people ,as you are always answering our many, many questions and making sure we look good!

I want to thank The Rayne Acadian-Tribune and The Rayne Independent for capturing our most precious moments, and keeping our city informed of all our accomplishments.

Ms. Theresa Prather, thank you so much for your kind heart, and many hugs you give, and for all the hard work you put into this beautiful Festival. You are always full of smiles, and a breath of fresh air. Always making sure we have what we need…hugs and smiles, among everything else. your are precious. Just know that I’m not going away, it’s just I’ll be seeing you.

Ms. Marlene, I’m not sure I can find the words to describe how much I respect you. Your passion and love for this festival is what made me want to be a queen in the first place. Thank you so much for all your hard work, and dedication to us. We could not have done any of this without you. As long as I have been knowing you, your face lights up every time you say Ray*La*Ne. Just hearing you talk about Ray*La*Ne makes me get excited, you are so genuine, and I love you for it. As director of Festival Ray*La*Ne , many people know that, that is your heart, and it shows. You’re priceless!!!!! I will miss you.

But, this is not good bye, my heart will always be with Festival Ray*La*Ne. This is an amazing Festival. Please, come join us June 2, 2012, at the Rayne Civic Center, and enjoy the experience this wonderful Festival has to offer. Then you can find out what all the ‘Buzz’ is about! I hope to see you there!

Yours Truly,

Jeanna Dupree
