MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Jimmy Richardson, 48, of Mamou, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 16. Burial followed in the Zion Cemetery.
Mr. Richardson died Saturday, April 11, 2009, at Savoy Medical Center in Mamou. He leaves behind a legacy of family and friends who loved him and will miss him.
Survivors include his wife, Veronica F. “Pinky” Richardson of Mamou; his mother, Joyce Shillow of Mamou; his father, Rogers Richardson of Ville Platte; two sons, Jordon Israel of Lafayette and Jimmy “J’Mon” Richardson of Mamou; one daughter, Haley Richardson of Mamou; three brothers, Jimmy R. Richardson and his wife, Lena, of Baytown, Texas, Gene Archry Richardson of Eunice and Phillip Richardson of Mamou; three sisters, Lula Young and her husband, Alvin, of Iowa, Georgiana Richardson of Eunice and Lisa Garnett and her husband, Norvin, of Mamou;
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Felix Shillow; and one sister, Tina Richardson.
Father Josh Guillory officiated.

MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Dorena Marie Greene, 47, of Eunice, at the Owens-Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice at 12 noon, Saturday, April 18. Burial followed in the St. Ann’s Cemetery in Mamou.

AUDREY MAE FREEMAN
September 2, 1938 - April 9, 2009
Funeral services were held for Audrey Mae Freeman, 70, of Ville Platte, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ville Platte Saturday, April 18. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Freeman died Thursday, April 9, 2009, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, Calvin Freeman Sr. of Ville Platte; six sons, Calvin Jr., Darryl, Randell, Johnny, James and Mabry Freeman, all of Ville Platte; two daughters, Jennifer Poullard of Mamou and Jenny Thomas of DeQuincy; three brothers, Milton Williams of Houston, Texas, and Clifton Jr. and Linton Williams, both of Opelousas; four sisters, Lessie Malveaux and Ethel Lee, Audrey Mae and Adeline Williams, all of Ville Platte; 47 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton Sr. and Elzina Williams; two sons, Sonny and Junior Freeman; two daughters, Freida and Judy Freeman; four brothers, Percy, Landris, Harry John and Melvin Williams; and one sister, Elzina Williams.

HENRY JOSEPH HEINEN
MAMOU - Funeral services were held for Henry Joseph Heinen, 85, of Eunice, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou at 2 p.m., Friday, April 17. Burial followed in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Mr. Heinen died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Evangeline Extended Care Hospital in Mamou. He was an Army veteran who served during World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include one daughter, Rosa Kidder of Mamou; one son, Henry C. Heinen and his wife, Mary, of Eunice; two sisters, Beatrice Young of Mamou and Lillian Barron of Elton; one brother, Louis “Tookie” Heinen of Eunice; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Placedus J. and Annie Dischler Heinen; his first wife, Vercie Fontenot Heinen; his second wife, Lillie Chapman Heinen; one brother, James Heinen; and one sister, Helen Landry.
