“Certain diet patterns seem to have a major effect in helping people diagnosed with cancer to live longer, healthier lives,” said Alana Hargrave, MSW, LCSW, of OncoLogics. “This series from The Cancer Project will help our patients and caregivers learn about the right food choices that can help reduce the risk of developing cancer as well as overcome the disease after it has been diagnosed.”
Through the use of classes, books, videos and cooking demonstrations, The Cancer Project is helping cancer survivors and their families learn new tastes and easy food preparation skills. Classes will be held on Wednesdays, August 11 through September 1, from 6-8pm at OncoLogics Crowley location.
Attendance at all four classes is not required, however, space is limited, so register today by contacting Julie at OncoLogics Crowley, 337-788-3334 or by emailing jwagner@oncologics.net.
