Funeral services were Monday, March 21, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Oris J. Cormier, 82, who passed away Friday, March 18, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at Camelot Nursing Home in Crowley. 

Father Clint Trahan, associate pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, officiated the services on Monday.

Survivors include caregiver and niece, Patricia Alleman; and several nieces and nephews;

Mr. Oris was preceded in death by his wife, Rosaline B. Cormier; his parents, Andrew and Lucille Cormier; two sisters, Laura and Lillian Cormier; and two half-sisters, Josetta Broussard and Mary Babineaux.

Honorary pallbearers for his services were Austin Broussard, Ernest Alleman, Mike Babineaux, Kerney Legere, Shane and Shea Stires.

Visitation was Monday, March 21, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. until time of services. 

Burial was in St. Joseph No. 2 Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home, L.L.C. of Rayne.
