Ouachita books driver on 6th DWI count

MONROE – A Marion man has been booked on his sixth DWI charge.

Ouachita Parish deputies arrested John M. Pitard, 46, Friday and charged him with DWI-4. According to the arrest report, Pitard has been arrested for six DWIs since 1990.

A deputy stated Pitard was driving a white Dodge pick-up north on U.S. 165 and crossed the yellow fog line three times. The suspect continued north, crossing the center line and driving in both lanes.

Pitard was stopped at a convenience store. He reportedly had slow actions and bloodshot eyes. Pitard denied drinking alcohol prior to being stopped.

At Ouachita Correctional Center he was charged with DWI-4, no bond, driving under suspension, no bond, and improper lane usage.
