Pair sought in connection with Crowley shooting

CROWLEY – The public is being asked to assist the Crowley Police Department in locating two persons of interest in connection with the Friday evening homicide that occurred at the intersection of Jacobs Avenue and Hutchinson Avenue in Crowley.

Marlon Mott, 29, and Ryan Babineaux, 26, both of Crowley are persons of interest only at this time.

Mott is described as a black male, 5-foot, 7-inches in height, weighing 150 pounds. He has short black hair, medium build and a medium complexion. His last known address is 614 West Third St. in Crowley.

Babineaux is described as a black male, 5’8” in height, weighing 150 pounds. He has short black hair, medium build, and medium complexion. His last known address is 1102 West Fifth St. in Crowley.

Meanwhile, Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish needs your help to solve the homicide. The investigation into the homicide is still ongoing by the Crowley Police Department. The homicide claimed the life of Greginald Jones, 33 of Crowley. It occurred Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at 4:23 p.m. Motive for the killing is unknown at this time.
