Mrs. Habetz graduated from St. Michael School in 1958 and was a devoted wife of forty-one years, a loving mother, and grandmother. She was “Mom Pat” to many, and a friend and family member who was always willing to help others.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder, pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a. m. A rosary will be recited Friday at 6:30 p.m. by Sister Justina Baker. Burial will be in Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Survivors include two daughters, Robyn H. Landry and her husband Tim of Baton Rouge, Nicole H. Maloz and her husband Brad of Crowley; one sister, Barbara Istre Gary and her husband Robert “Bobby” of Crowley; six grandchildren, Blake, Brandon and Brooke Landry all of Baton Rouge, Haley, Peyton and Annalise Maloz all of Crowley; her brothers-in law, Jack Habetz and his wife Sylvia, Edmund Habetz and his wife Cheryl, Al Habetz and his wife Gwen, and Kenny Habetz and his wife Penny all of Crowley; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Habetz; her parents, Sidney and Amy Roy Istre.
Pallbearers will be her five brothers-in-law, Jack, Ed, Al and Kenny Habetz, Robert “Bobby” Gary and close family friend, Lloyd “Tiger” LeBlanc.
