Cherisse Anne Henry is engaged to be married to Boyd Garrett Pippin on July 31, 2010 at 1 p.m.. The ceremony will take place at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point and will be officiated by Father Pousson.

Cherisse is the daughter of Cynthia Istre of Kaplan and Terry Henry of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Gracie Istre and Ernest Istre of Kaplan; and Viola Henry and the late Andrus “Doo” Henry of Crowley.

She graduated from Crowley High School in 2006 and from McNeese State University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. She is currently working on a Masters Degree at McNeese.

Boyd is the son of Katherine Comeaux and Ronald Pippin. He is the grandson of Dean Comeaux and the late Ronald Comeaux; and Dorlis Pippin and Douglas Pippin.

He graduated from Crowley High School in 2007 and from Louisiana Technical College with a certification in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration. He is currently employed at Thermal A.C. in Lake Charles.

The couple will reside in Roberts Cove after the wedding.
