The bride-elect is the daughter of Kathy Laborde of Ville Platte and Terry Laborde of Mansura. Her grandparents are R.C. and Jackie Miller, Robert Laborde, the late Agnes Laborde, Cathrina Manuel and the late Cleve Ray Manuel.
She is a 2007 graduate of Ville Platte High School, attained an associate of arts degree in 2009 from LSU-Eunice, and will graduate from UL-Lafayette this December with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education following student teaching in the fall at J.W. Faulk Elementary in Lafayette.
The prospective groom is the son of Francis and Debbie Robichaux of Rayne. His grandparents are Hilda Robichaux, the late Francis Robichaux, Sr., and the late Charles and Lenora Heinen.
A 2004 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, he graduated in 2005 from Louisiana State University’s Fire and Emergency Training Institute, and received a technical diploma in machine tool technology in 2011 from Acadian Technical College. He is currently employed as a machinist at Knight Oil Tools in Broussard.
Following their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Lafayette.
