Paulette and J.D. Thibodeaux of Rayne are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their dauhter, Courtney Marie Thibodeaux, to Daniel Scott Henry, son of Karl and Susan Henry, also of Rayne.

The engaged couple will be united as husband and wife on Friday, Dec. 17, 2010, during a seven o’clock evening ceremony at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, followed by a reception at the American Legion Home in Rayne.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Darby Thibodeaux of Rayne, the late Laura Thibodeaux, and the late Melvin and Maude Matte. She is a 2009 graduate of Rayne High School and is presently attending Louisiana State University at Eunice with a major in early childhood education.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Remie Henry of Rayne, Verne Gautreaux of Rayne, and the late Nolton and Rita Menard. He is a 2007 graduate of Rayne High School, attended South Louisiana Community College, and employed by Acadian Ambulance Service as an emergency medical technician.

Following their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Rayne.
