Patrick and Theresa Prather of the Richard community are announcing the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Megan Claire, to Blaise Nathaniel Treadway, son of Nick and Deanna Treadway of Crowley.

The couple will exchange wedding vows on Friday, May 6, 2011, during a 7 p.m. wedding ceremony at St. Edward Catholic Church in Richard, followed by a reception on site at the church hall.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Prather of Richard and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph “Yuse” Matte. She is a 2003 graduate of St. Edmund Catholic High School in Eunice, a 2010 graduate of The University of Louisiana at Lafayete, and is employed by Medical Resources and Guidance as a support coordinator.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Taylor of Iowa and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Treadway, Sr. He is a 2004 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and is attending Bristow Academy where he plans to graduate in 2012 as a commercial helicopter pilot. He is also employed by Francis Drilling Fluids in Morgan City as an assistant plant manager.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in their new home in Richard.
