It’s that time of year again and this week children in all grades will be returning to the classroms. With the start of school is also a caution to motorists to adhere to the speeding zones near the schools. Police will be out in force to enforce the school speed zones since this could lead to a tragic result.

Football
With the start of school also means that football season is nearby. The high school teams have begun practice and will soon be teeing it up for jamboress at the end of the month followed by the start of a brand new seaason. Best of luck to all of the schools in the parish.
HOF Jackson
A member of the Saints “Dome Patrol,” Ricky Jackson was enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday.
It was nice to see the former Saint receive his due among the greatest in the game.
