LaCombe missed just four games last week to take top honors by virtue of the tiebreaker over Hayden Bourqeois.
LaCombe now sits just three games back behind two-time champion Don Kernan, who leads the pack with 51 losses.
I also missed just four games, giving me 56 losses behind third place Kye Cante.
With just two weeks left, this could get real interesting.
Now on to the picks.
Again I’ve gone with all high school games so I’m not forced to choose between Arkansas and LSU and also so I don’t have to pick Ohio State over my Michigan Wolverines.
But the prep games are tough none the less.
First, I’m taking Notre Dame over Carroll. This could be the Pios’ toughest challenge yet but they seem to always find a way to win. This week will be no different.
I’m also going to go out on a limb and take Teurlings over Neville.
I also like St. Thomas More over St. Augustine and Acadiana over St. Paul’s. Both those games could go either way but it sure would be great to see Acadiana and St. Thomas more square off one more time.
In other games, I’m taking Karr over Northside, Franklinton over Haughton, Bastrop over O.P. Walker, Parkview Baptist over E.D. White, West Feliciana over Amite, Redemptorist over Patterson, Evangel over Loreauville, John Curtis over Riverside, Calvary Baptist over East Feliciana, St. Charles over Winnfield, Oberlin over Central Catholic and White Castle over St. Edmund.
