The Rayne High School 2013 Powerlifting Team participated in the West Regional Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 22, at Church Point High School.
Top finishers in weight classes were:
GIRLS
148.8 lbs. - Latavia Cormier - 3rd place;
132.3 lbs. - Ali Thibodeaux - 3rd place;
Show Class - McKayla Fontenot - 3rd place.
BOYS
132.3 lbs. - Javon Cormier - 3rd place.
Remaining team members who qualified for the state meet were: Shelli Alleman, Megan Marcantel, Emily Kibodeaux, Paton Duhon, Jude Mire, Tyler Louviere, Nicky Faucheux and Andrew Granger.
The Division III State Meet will be held Friday, March 15, at West Monroe High School.
