The Lady Wolves participated in the Carencro Volleyball Tournament this weekend where they finished their pool at 2-1, their first tournament of the 2011 season.

Before falling to Barbe in the third round, the Lady Wolves defeated Northside ((22-25, 25-17, 15-7) and Opelousas High (25-14, 25-9).

Leading kills were Brooke Mire, Kaylin Nero, Taylor Arceneaux and Haley Cormier. Madeline Savoy and Haley Cormier led assists and Amanda Bourque in blocks.

In recent action, Rayne fell to St. Martinville in a home contest, (9-25, 13-25, 23-25). Brooke Mire, Skyla Schexnider and Haley Cormier led kills, with Madeline Savoy and Cormier setting up assists. Sidney Fontenot and Kaylin Nero recorded top digs.

In a contest at Westgate, the Lady Wolves collected a three-game win (25-11, 25-19, 25-18). Kill stats were led by Haley Cormier, Amanda Bourque, Skyla Schexnider and Niesha Domingue. Cormier and Madeline Savoy led assists.

Brooke Mire spiked 17 and Amanda Bourque had 10 kills in a five-game match win over Ascension Episcopal. Haley Cormier (19) and Madeline Savoy (13) led assists, and Emily Kibodeaux and Kaylin Nero led digs in defense.

The Ladies will participate in the Crowley High Tourney this weekend.
