The Rayne High wrestling team traveled to Northside High School on Wednesday, Jan. 9, for a matchup against the Vikings.

Final results include:

285 lbs. - Brennan McKnight fell to Allen Kincade 21-10.

113 lbs. - Eric Comeaux won by forfeit.

138 lbs. - Anthony Seaux won by decision over Cozenski Alfred 17-11.

152 lbs. - Austin Bohnam won by major decision over Khalil Leonard 14-3.

170 lbs. - Andrew Arceneaux fell to Javian Adams by a pin at 1:06.

195 lbs. - Evans Hooper fell to Orlando Calhoun with a pin.

During the weekend Brusly Invitational, the Wolves placed second behind the histing team. North Vermilion finished third.

Placing for the Wolves were:

197 lbs. - Billy Marcantel 4-0, Undefeated Outstanding Wrestler in Upper Division, 1st place.

222 lbs. - Brennan McKnight 5-0 Undefeated 1st place.

108 lbs. - Bobby Cormier 5th place.

130 lbs. - Landyn Thibodeaux 3rd place.

140 lbs. - Anthony Seaux 5th place.

147 lbs. - Cody Manuel 5th place.

154 lbs. - Austin Bohne 3rd place.

The Wolves were scheduled to host St. Louis High Wednesday, followed by the Rayne Quad Meet slated for this weekend at the RHS north gym.
