A Nissan Altima was reported stolen in Rayne today and according to officers the car was located and an attempt was made to pull it over. Police say the vehicle would not pull over which lead to a car chase that went into Vermilion Parish then back into Acadia Parish.
While still in pursuit, the vehicle was involved in a crash after hitting a ditch on Hwy 90 in Acadia Parish. There were no injuries to report and the suspect was taken into custody into the Rayne Police Department.
