The bride is the daughter of John and Elizabeth LeBleu of Mire. Her grandparents are Annie LeBleu, the late John Berlin LeBleu, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Borne of Rayne. She is the great-grandaughter of Dallas Thibodeaux of Rayne. A graduate of Northside Christian School in Crowley and The University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s B.I. Moody, III College of Business, Jennifer is employed as a paralegal for the law firm of William Gee in Lafayette.
The groom is the son of Tim Broussard of Scott and Cheryl Doucet of Lafayette. His grandparents are Mary Doucet of Youngsville and Pershing and Bea Broussard of Scott. His great-grandmother is Bertha Doucet of Rayne. A graduate of Acadiana High School and The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, Trevor is presently employed as a personal trainer at Anytime Fitness in Scott.
On the arm of her father, the bride wore an elegant, empire-waist wedding gown of soft ivory satin. The sweetheart neckline featured a graceful rushing that draped diagonally across the body ending at the waistline on the right. The back of the gown was noted with a dramatic scoop and self-satin buttons. The fitted gown flowed into an extended train with a lace overlay that ended with an elaborate scalloped lace edging. Lace appliques were attached throughout the skirt and train with additional appliques accenting the ruching across her body and extended up the bodice to embellish tiny spaghetti straps. Each applique was encrusted with tiny seed pearls and clear crystals and beads. Her jewelry for her special day were a pearl ring and a pearl and crystal bracelet, both given to her by hersister; pearl drop earrings with a matching pearl pendant on a silver chain; and a pearl hair piece. She carried a bridal bouquet featuring lavendar roses, as well as ivory roses and calla lilies, all wrapped with an ivory ribbon.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Jeanine Martin. Bridesmaids were Patty LeBleu, sister-in-law of the bride, and Candace Arsement, future sister-in-law of the bride. Madison LeBleu, niece of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid.
Bridal attendants each wore a strapless, knee-length gown of aubergine satin featuring a sweetheart neckline and a gathered band of iridescent purple taffeta just below the empire waistline. Each wore a hair clip which featured a broach with gemstones in shades of purple and carried a bouquet of ivory and lavendar roses.
Serving as flower girl was Emma LeBleu, niece of the bride. She wore an adorable fit and flare dress of ivory silk designed with a self-tie belt of the aubergine taffeta that coordinated with the bridesmaids’ dresses. She wore a halo-style wreath of tiny satin roses and bows with streaming sheer and ivory ribbons down the back.
For the wedding, the groom wore a formal black tuxedo with an ivory vest and tie, along with an ivory rose boutonniere.
Cody Broussard served his cousin as best man, while groomsmen were Mark Taylor, friend of the groom, and Ronald Martin, friend and brother-in-law of the groom. Each was attired in a black tuxedo with the vest and tie in aubergine and a boutonniere of ivory calla lilies.
Junior groomsman was Ethan LeBleu, nephew of the bride, and ring bearer was Evan LeBleu, godchild and nephew of the bride. Each wore a black tuxedo with an ivory rose boutonniere.
Ushers for the ceremony were Jonathan and Joel LeBleu, brothers of the bride. Each wore a purple shirt with black pants and an ivory rose boutonniere.
Ryan Cazares, friend of the couple, provided music for the ceremony with acoustic guitar instrumental renditions of “And I Love Her,” “Here Comes the Sun,” “In My Life” and “I Want To Hold Your Hand.” The family of the couple entered the church and mothers lit the unity candles to “Time In A Bottle.” A version of “Angel in My Arms” had been recorded by the bride’s father and played as a surprise for the bride just before he presented her to her future husband at the altar.
For her daughter’s wedding, the bride’s mother wore a three-piece ensemble of silk including a pink champagne jacket with a pearl and crystal closure, a shell of merlot, pleated taffeta, and a black Georgette and satin Multi-tiered skirt. She was presented a wristlet of ivory sweetheart roses.
The groom’s mother selected a two-piece ensemble feauring a sleeveless shimmering pink top with bands of tucked fabric down the bodice and a graceful draping of the tucks swooping down the left side of the bodice and topped with a self-fabric rosette. It was worn with a flowing black layered satin and organza skirt. She was also presented a wrist corsage of ivory sweetheart roses.
For the reception held in the spacious foyer of the church, the bridal table featured a three-tiered round wedding cake created by the bride’s mother. Each layer was noted with a sheer band of purple ribbon around its base and held gum paste fowers of roses and peonies in shades of ivory and purple with sprigs of greenery. It was served by the bride’s aunt, Renee Guidry.
The groom’s table was centered with a large chocolate sheet cake with praline filling and topped with a miniature golfing scene. The cake was served by the groom’s aunt, Angie Mier.
