Interment was in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Rev. Edward Degeyter conducted the services. Gift bearers were Angella, Meagan and Logan Dupuis. Reader was Brenda Menard Harmon.
Born on Septr 4, 1921, in Maurice, Mrs. Menard worked as a bookkeeper for Hymel Motor Supply, was co-owner and bookkeeper for L’Acadien Esso, worked for Martin Mills for 15 years, and with her husband, she owned and operated Menard’s Meat Market. She volunteered at the Petite Paris Museum. A member of the Catholic Daughters, Mrs. Menard enjoyed reading, watching LSU football, the New Orleans Saints, and the cooking channel. She also enjoyed growing roses.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice M. Staton and husband Bryan of St. Martinville; son, Scott Menard of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Christopher Dupuis and wife Angella of Breaux Bridge, Barrett Dupuis of Lafayette; step grandchildren, Bryan Staton II of New Iberia, James Staton of Grand Junction, Colorado; great-grandchildren, Meagan and Logan Dupuis; foster brothers, Adolph Marks and Regis Marks; and foster sister, Beulah Marks Broussard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Menard; parents, Henry and Leone Fabre Broussard; sons, Danny Menard and Alton James Menard; granddaughter, Anne Adele Dupuis; son-in-law, Larry Decou; brothers, Ocey Broussard and Albert Broussard; sisters, Hazel and Felicia Broussard, and a special friend, Eustan Geoffray.
Pallbearers included Christopher Dupuis, John C. Broussard, Barrett Dupuis, Scott Menard, Bryan Staton II and H. Randal Harman.
