Aaron O. Richards, 32, faces a charge of second-degree robbery. He was booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center.
Richards is alleged to have attacked a 19 year old woman as she exited her vehicle in the parking lot of Buffalo Wild Wings, Lafayette Police said.
The woman suffered a broken nose and cuts to her face in the incident.
The suspect grabbed the woman’s purse, which was resting on her lap.
Surveillance videos showed two men attempting to make a purchase with the woman’s information at the Abbeville Walmart.
Lafayette detectives obtained a warrant for Richard’s arrest and was arrested by officers from the Kaplan Police Department.
