CROWLEY – With the political season in full swing and candidate’s signs popping up in yards across town, Police Chief K.P. Gibson has issued a reminder in those regards.

“The theft of any political signs is a criminal offense and will be dealt with according to the law. These signs are expensive and should not be removed from their locations.”

Gibson also said these signs should not be on city right-of way. “There is a city right-of-way on all roads that must be strictly adhered to. Generally speaking, the right-of-way ends somewhere near the middle of the property owner’s front or rear lawn.”
