LAFAYETTE - Funeral services were held on Monday, July 12, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Mr. Scott Ambrose Henry, 46, who passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010, in Jefferson County, Texas.

Interment followed in Fountain Memorial Cemetery in Lafayette.

Deacon Frank Cormier, of St. Edmond Catholic Church in Lafayette, officiated. Michelle LeBlanc served as eulogist.

Scott was born Sunday, October 6, 1963, in Beaumont, Texas, and was a long-time resident of Breaux Bridge. Scott was a superintendent in the construction industry for many years and enjoyed the outdoors. He loved fishing and boating, Nascar, cars and motorcycles.

Most of all, Scott adored his daughter and grandson and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Mr. Henry is survived by his beloved daughter, Ashley Nicole Henry of Rayne; his mother, Gloria Broussard Henry, of Lafayette; one grandson, Carson Dupuis, of Rayne; his girlfriend, Bridget Price, of Port Arthur, Texas; two brothers, Kim “Nolan” Henry and his wife, Peggy, of Church Point and Mark Henry and his wife, Denise, of Lafayette; one sister, Chris H. LaValle and her husband, Dennis, also of Lafayette; and Rachelle Lantz of Iota, ex-wife and the mother of his daughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Nolan Peter Henry, of St. Martinville.

The family requested that visiting hours at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette be observed on Sunday, July 11, 2010, from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and resume Monday, July 12, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. Pallbearers were Mark Henry, Kim Henry, Brett Henry, Dennis LaValle, Scott Brittan and Davis Mose.

Honorary bearers were Chris Kendall and David Kendall.
