Tickets go on sale Tuesday, July 31, for the seventh annual Rouge et Blanc, the premier wine and food event of Southwest Louisiana. The event will take place from 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in downtown Lake Charles on Ryan Street between the grounds of the 1911 Historic City Hall Arts and Cultural Center and the Calcasieu Parish Courthouse.

Tickets are $100 per person and are available at www.rougeetblanc.us . Participants must be 21 years old to attend this event.

More than 200 fine wines - selected by Jared M. Cocke, fine wine specialist for Republic National Distributing Co. - will be available for tasting. In addition, over 30 restaurants will prepare their culinary specialties for participants. All wines are provided by the Republic National Distributing Co.

Rouge et Blanc is presented by the McNeese State University Foundation and the Downtown Development Authority. All proceeds will benefit the McNeese Banners Cultural Series.

The annual popular raffle, which includes an all-inclusive, five-day trip for two to Napa Valley, will be offered again this year. Raffle tickets will cost $50. Special wine dinners will also be held at area restaurants leading up to the event, with more information available on the website as menus are set.

Corporate sponsors for this event are the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention and Visitors Bureau, IBERIABANK, Empire of the Seed, Fuerst Law Firm, L’Auberge Casino Resort, Stockwell Sievert Law Firm, Republic National Distributing Co., Knight Media Inc., city of Lake Charles and the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.
