
The seventh annual Rouge et Blanc wine and food tasting event will take place Saturday, Oct. 20, on the grounds of the 1911 Historic City Hall Arts and Cultural Center and the Calcasieu Parish Courthouse in Lake Charles. More than 200 fine wines - selected by Jared M. Cocke, fine wine specialist for Republic National Distributing Co. - will be available for tasting. In addition, over 30 restaurants will prepare their culinary specialties for participants. All wines are provided by the Republic National Distributing Co.
Rouge et Blanc is presented by the McNeese State University Foundation and the Downtown Development Authority. All proceeds will benefit the McNeese Banners Cultural Series.
The annual popular raffle, which includes an all-inclusive, five-day trip for two to Napa Valley, will be offered again this year. Raffle tickets will cost $50. Special wine dinners will also be held at area restaurants leading up to the event, with more information available on the website as menus are set.
