A yearlong promotion for Shop Rite and Tobacco Plus customers resulted in a lucky winner of a $500 gas gift card on July 9. The presentation to this quarter’s winner, Katrina Pitre of Kinder, was held at the Tobacco Plus location in Kinder. During the promotion, which is co-sponsored by Coca Cola, Shop Rite/Tobacco Plus holds quarterly drawings for the gift card from entries submitted by customers. The card is good for use at any of the store locations in Louisiana.

Pitre says she is excited to have won this quarter’s prize, especially considering she didn’t expect to win. “I stopped by the Tobacco Plus in Kinder one day to fill up and just entered on a whim,” she says. “I certainly didn’t think I would win. At first I didn’t believe them when they called to tell me I had won. It will come in handy because I drive from Kinder to school at McNeese every day.”

The gift card giveaway promotion will continue at all store locations through the end of the year. The Shop Rite/Tobacco Plus Group is the largest independently owned convenience store chain in Louisiana, offering fuel, food, payday loans, home supplies and convenience items to customers. Their 59 locations range from Cut Off to Many to Vinton in Southwest Louisiana.
