Former Notre Dame standout Taylor Simon led the Lady Bengals in the first game with a 3-for-3 performance that include a RBI and three runs scored. She also had a single and scored once in the second game.
Kelsey Hollier, a Rayne High product, had one hit and a RBI in the victory.
Both Simon and Hollier have started 17 of the Lady Bengals’ 18 games this year. Simon is hitting .333 with two doubles, one triple, one home run and 13 RBI while Hollier has an average of .292 with six doubles, one home run and 16 RBI. Both have eight steals in nine attempts.
LSUE will travel to Gulf Coast Community College for a 3 p.m. doubleheader on Friday before facing Holmes CC on Saturday.
