Lanie Blair Arceneaux and Adam Michael Coffey, both of Fort Worth, Texas, were united as husband and wife on Thursday, April 14, 2011, during a four-thirty afternoon wedding ceremony at Ceasar’s Palace Venus Garden in Las Vegas, Nev.

The bride is the daughter of Maxine Trahan of Rayne and Charles I. Arceneaux of Ponchatoula. Her grandparents are Olita Trahan Matthews of Rayne, the late John Hunter Trahan, Rose Marie Trahan of Baton Rouge and the late Lawrence D. Trahan. She is 2003 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, 2007 graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and attained her master’s degree at the University of Memphis. She is employed as a dietitian at Early Childhood Interventions of North Central Texas.

The groom is the son of Douglas and Rebecca Coffey of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. His grandparents are Gene Coffey of Ontario, Ohio, the late Emma Jean Coffey, Helen Jones of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and the late Robert Jones. He is a 2002 graduate of Reynoldsburg High School, 2006 graduate of Purdue University, and is employed as an engineer at Lockheed Martin.

Providing musical selections for the ceremony was the groom’s sister, Sarah Coffey.

The ceremony was officiated by Rev. Brian Ross.

Scriptures were read by Lisa Trahan, aunt of the bride, and Doug Coffey, father of the groom.

Escorted by her parents, the bride wore a floor-length, split A-lined wedding dress of ivory chiffon featuring a pleated surplice bodice, beaded criss-cross-styled empire waist and sweep train. A headpiece of crystals and albino peacock feathers held an elbow-length, ivory veil of sheer illusion. Her bouquet of white Gerber daisies and dark blue bella donna flowers was wrapped with turquoise ribbon.

Following the wedding ceremony, the newly married couple were honored during a rooftop reception overlooking the city.

Following a wedding trip to Sandal’s Regency La Toc Resort in St. Lucia Island of the Caribbean, the couple is residing in Forth Worth, Texas.

An additional reception was held Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the home of the groom’s parents in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Guests enjoyed a backyard garden party.

The couple’s wedding will be blessed on Saturday, June 11, 2011, during a one o’clock afternoon ceremony at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lafayette. The bride’s great-uncle, Fr. Harold J. Trahan will officiate the ceremony, followed by a reception at The Crossing at Mervine Kahn II in Rayne.
