Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court St. Francis 1519, of Iota, held its annual banquet Sunday, November 16.  This court celebrated 59 years of existence and recognizedmembers for outstanding duties throughout the year.  Regent Ramona LeJeune, presided at the event.

She presented gifts to project chairpersons and congratulated Audrey Miller for receiving the only perfect attendance award for the year.  LeJeune then presented special gifts to her officers:  Linda Rivere, Vice-Regent; Elaine Chatagnier, Recording Secretary; Mary Beth Miller, Treasurer; and Tanna Pousson, Financial Secretary. Special recognition was given to Tanna Pousson, co-owner of Coleman’s Sausage Kitchen, for preparing the food for the occasion

A special part of the banquet is the Memorial Service, which this year was in honor of Lucille Fabacher Gravot.  This memorial was given by Elaine Chatagnier, who lighted a candle then read prayers for Ms. Lucille, which she followed with some personal notes about Ms. Gravot, including she was the first Vice-Regent when the organization began 59 years ago.  Chatagnier congratulated all the women who had the foresight to begin this great organization 59 years ago and noted some of the accomplishments of this club.
