Prayer and recognition of those serving their country will be offered by Bishop Michael Jarrell who will celebrate the Mass with Fr. Gary Schexnayder, pastor, and Msgr. Jefferson DeBlanc, Vicar of the West Region concelebrating.
Priests and deacons of the Lafayette Diocese are also invited to participate.
The sacrifice of men and women serving in the military will be recognized at the Mass, sponsored by the West Region of the Diocese.
Prayers will also be offered for the families of military personnel, who are also under stress during their soldiers assignments in hostile foreign countries.
The Mass is open to all who wish to show their support of soldiers and their families, with a reception following in the parish hall.
