Stemplewski, Bernard to wed in September

IOTA - Announcement is being made of the upcoming wedding of Gretchen Michelle Stemplewski of Iota to Timothy Louis Bernard, Jr., of Youngsville. The couple will be married on September 22, 2012 at the Point-aux-Loups Springs Ballroom in Iota.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Joe and Linda Stemplewski of Iota. She is the granddaughter of the late Remy and Annette Seilhan Lantz of Iota and the late Joe and Hazel Massey Stemplewski of Raceland.

The prospective groom is the son of Timothy and Karla Bernard of Opelousas. He is the grandson of Rachel Darbonne of Washington and the late Merlin Darbonne; Anna and Berton Fontenot of Opelousas; and Ella Bernard of Plaisance and the late Louis P. Bernard.

Gretchen attended Iota High School and later obtained an associate’s degree in general studies with a concentration in psychology from Northwestern State University. She also earned a computer information specialist technical diploma from Acadiana Technical College in Lafayette.

Timothy graduated from Northwest High School in Opelousas before attending T. H. Harris Technical College, also in Opelousas, where he earned a technical diploma in drafting and design technologies. He is currently employed by Frank’s Casing in Lafayette.

Judge Kristian Earles will officiate the 2:00 p.m. nuptials.

Following their wedding, the couple will reside in Youngsville.
