Mrs. Turner John Landreneau, Jr.
The bride is the daughter of Barry and Sandra LeJeune of Iota. She is the granddaughter of the late Ivan and Wanda Ruth LeJeune and the late Vernon and Yvonne Trahan.
Lauren attended Iota High School and later graduated from Lafayette General School of Health Sciences and Louisiana State University at Eunice. She is currently employed by Nursing Specialties as a registered nurse.
The groom is the son of Turner, Sr. and Elaine Landreneau of Richard. He is the grandson of the late Adam Landreneau, the late Ethel B. Landreneau, the late Philip V. Schuff and the late Dorothy Guillory.
Turner graduated from Eunice High School and attended Pearl River Community College. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University at Eunice and is currently employed as a deepwater production SEMS coordinator with Anadarko Petroleum.
Richie Gauthier, friend of the groom, and Jim Soileau, brother-in-law of the bride, ushered guests to their seats.
Music for the ceremony was played by violinist Sarah Walker.
Lauren, who was escorted by her father, was gorgeous in a lustrous satin candlelight designer gown with a corset back. The strapless bodice and sweetheart neckline were trimmed with silver beading and Swarovski crystals, which also defined the gown’s empire waist. The fit and flare silhouette featured asymmetrical ruching ornamented at the side with a beaded applique, and the back of the gown flowed into a chapel-length train.
The bride’s single-tiered fingertip veil was trimmed with Swarovski crystals and secured by a feathered, crystal-embellished bridal hairpiece.
Lauren carried a handheld bouquet of calla lilies, green orchids, Bells of Ireland and white roses accented with peacock feathers.
The bride incorporated the traditional good luck items into her wedding attire. Her paternal grandmother’s antique rhinestone brooch, affixed to her bouquet, was “something old;” her wedding dress was “something new;” her jewelry, loaned by a cousin, was “something borrowed;” and her Tiffany blue peep-toe heels were “something blue.”
Jamie Soileau, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Ashley Berthelot, cousin of the bride; Paige Broussard, Ashley Leleux and Kelsi Andrepont, friends of the bride; and Jamie Landreneau, sister-in-law of the groom.
Madelyn and Grace Hathcock, both cousins of the bride, served as junior bridesmaids.
The bridal attendants wore knee-length dresses in Tiffany blue satin. The strapless bodices featured corset backs and ruching adorned at the sides with rhinestone brooches that were keepsake gifts from the bride.
The bridal attendants’ hand-tied bouquets were made of green orchids, calla lilies and peacock feathers.
Kathryn Paige “Kate” Soileau, godchild of the bride, served as flower girl. Kate was attired in a tea-length princess gown of ivory silk with a wide sash bow accented with a miniature brooch.
Trent Landreneau, brother of the groom, stood as best man.
Nicky Comeaux, Bryan Hines, Michael Soileau, Cody Lafleur and Scott Bryan, all friends of the groom, served as groomsmen.
Parker Landreneau and Caden LeJeune, sons of the bride and groom, stood as junior groomsmen.
For her daughter’s wedding, the mother of the bride, the former Sandra Trahan, wore a midnight blue chiffon dress featuring a beaded waist and matching jacket.
The mother of the groom, the former Elaine Schuff, was attired in a royal blue knee-length dress with beading and stone accents.
Both mothers were presented with arrangements of calla lilies, green orchids and peacock feathers.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held on-site at the Gardens.
The wedding’s vivid colors - Tiffany blue and turquoise - were used along with peacock feathers for the vintage-themed decorations. The guest tables were adorned with Mason jars filled with calla lilies, green orchids and floating candles.
Guests danced to music performed by Steve Riley and High Performance.
The bride’s cake was a round three-tiered confection filled with pineapple cream, champagne and strawberry cream and blackberry cream cheese. Its pearlized hand detailing was accented with fondant ribbon, a diamond and pearl antique brooch and the bride’s flowers and feathers. It was served by the bride’s godmother, Delane Hathcock.
The groom’s red velvet cake was in the shape of a life-sized accordion to reflect the groom’s musical hobby. The table was decorated in a Cajun music theme and featured pictures of the groom and his sons Parker and Caden playing the accordion.
Out-of-town guests travelled from Texas, Alabama, and various points throughout Louisiana.
Following a wedding trip to a surprise location, the couple will reside in Mamou.
