NEW IBERIA – A teenager riding an bike without lighting was hit by an SUV and killed.

State Police said Jaquil Provost, 17, of New Iberia was riding about 9:15 p.m. Saturday on La. 182 west of Jeanerette.

His unlit bike was struck ed by a SUV driven by Harold Racca of New Iberia.

The bicycle, west-bound, was about four feet from the white fog line when struck, troopers said.
