MARKSVILLE -- Spring Bayou, an inter-locking complex of bayous and lakes being strangled by aquatic vegetation, is getting some help for its grass problem March 9.

Marcus Juneau, president of the Spring Bayou Restoration Team, said the Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife & Fisheries will be putting 5,000 grass- eating carp in the Spring Bayou Complex.

The carps will go to work to try to eat the grass which has taken over many areas of Spring Bayou waterways.
