Three held in pharmacy burglaries

Rayne Police Chief Carroll Stelly announced his office investigated two attempted burglaries at Mouton Pharmacy on South Adams and Rayne Pharmacy on Curtis Drive that occurred in the early morning hours of Friday, June 3.

Police have made three arrests.

Around 4:00 a.m., officers responded to an alarm call as Mouton Pharmacy and soon after at Rayne Pharmacy.

Detectives processed evidence recovered at the scene and soon afterwards arrested three suspects and charged each with two counts of Attempted Burglary of a Pharmacy.

Arrested were:

• Courtny P. Vadalier, W/M, Dob 1/12/1986, 703 Live Oak Street Rayne;

• Charles Joseph Dugas, B/M, Dob 12/20/1972, 502 Marie Street, Rayne; and

• Michelle L. Leblanc, W/F, Dob 7/26/1975, 502 Leblanc Street Rayne.

All three suspects are incarcerated in the Rayne City Jail awaiting bond and processing.
