Funeral services were held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. for Thurston Lewis Duhon, 93, who died Saturday, July 28, 2012, in American Legion Hospital in Jennings, LA.
Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth Wayne Duhon and wife, Becky, of Port Acres, TX, Terry Jude Duhon and wife, Enola, of Mire, Mark Anthony Duhon and wife, Diana, of Rayne; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Joseph Duhon, Jr. of Shreveport; and one sister, Eunice Duhon Simoneaux of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur Joseph Duhon, Sr. and Agnes Alleman Duhon; and wife, Maude Avant Duhon.
He was born Tuesday, June 10, 1919, in Lafayette, LA, son of the late Arthur Joseph Duhon, Sr. and the late Agnes Alleman Duhon.
Mr. Duhon served in the United States Army in WWII and was a lifetime member in the VFW Post 9903.
A rosary was recited Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, Tuesday, July 31, 2012, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 1, 2012, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
