VILLE PLATTE – Turkey Creek Police Chief Robert Moreau was arrested and charged with shoplifting by the Ville Platte Police Department October 5.

Moreau turned himself in to Evangeline Parish District Attorney Trent Brignac.

Moreau has pleaded guilty to the charge and resigned from his position as police chief in Turkey Creek.

Details regarding what he stole, when and from what store were not released.
