Two men, one believed armed with a .45 caliber pistol, robbed an employee at McDonald’s on West Laurel early Thursday.

According to initial information, two black men wearing either red beanies or bandannas and sun glasses, entered the restaurant just after midnight and demanded money, then fled.

According to initial information, the bandits entered through an unlocked door in the Playland area, a door that the general public would not ordinarily know was unlocked.

No other information was immediately available. All police department personnel allowed to speak to the media were at Eunice High School guarding the public welfare.

Initial records indicated the department may have had a suspect, a man who was not at his place of residence when police went there in the wee hours.

It was not known whether surveillance tape of the incident was available or conclusive.
