Funeral services were held Saturday January 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Vernest Guillot, 92, who died Thursday January 13, 2010 at his residence in Crowley.

Survivors include his wife of 73 years Theola Adam Guillot of Crowley, one son and his wife Luby and Gayle Guillot of Rayne; two daughters Deanna and her husband Gerald Doucet, and Loretta Broussard; eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arkdus and Azema Guillot and one grandson Daren Guillot.

Mr. Guillot was employed by J&J Exterminating, and Republic Wholesale, and was member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; he loved fishing, crabbing and gardening.

Visitation was held Friday January 14, 2011 from 4:00 .m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.

Burial was in the Abshire Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley.
